Lime

Key Lime

Limequat

  • Small tree size. Very heavy producer. Acidic, very juicy. White flesh color. Key lime flavor. More cold tolerant than other limes. Few seeds, which are very small.

Persian (Tahiti)

  • Harvested while still green. Pale yellow color. Very juicy and acidic. Most commonly grown for commercial use. Cold sensitive. No seeds.
  • Medium sized fruit about 1.75 - 2.5 inches diameter.
  • Everbearing - fruits all year.

Kaffier (Citrus Hystrix)

  • Tree is small. Fruit has thick & rough peel. Strong lime aroma. Very seedy.
  • Used for the rind oil and leaves to enhance flavor of curries, soups & salads.
  • Season of maturity varies.
