Tangerine

Robinson Tangerine

  • Very sweet. Easily peeled. Deep red flesh & peel color. Seed count varies from low to high.
  • Small to medium sized fruit about 2.5 - 2.75 inches diameter.

Dancy Tangerine

  • One of Floridas oldest tangerine varieties. Deep red peel color. Excellent fruit quality. Very easy to peel. Many seeds.
  • Small fruit size about 2.25 - 2.5 inches diameter.
  • Season of maturity December - January.

Murcott (Honey Tangerine)

  • Exceptionally sweet with a zipper like peel. Yellowish-orange peel, deep red flesh, heavy bearer. Many seeds.
  • Medium size fruit about 2.75 inches diameter.
  • Season of maturity January - March.

Sunburst Tangerine

  • Bright red peel and flesh color, excellent eating fruit. Easily peeled. Seed count varies from low to high.
  • Small to medium fruit size about 2.5 - 3 inches diameter.
  • Season of maturity November - January. Matures after Robinson & before the Dancy tangerine varieties

Ponkan (Chinese Honey) Tangerine

  • Excellent fruit quality. Easily peeled. Low acid. Cold hardy. Few seeds.
  • Large fruit size about 2.75 - 3.25 inches diameter.
  • Season of maturity December - January.

Satsuma Tangerine

  • Very easily peeled. Early harvest, can be harvested before full peel color. Cold hardy. Sparous foliage growing habit. Few seeds.
  • Large fruit size 2.75 - 3.25 inches diameter.
  • Season of maturity September - November.

King Mandarin

  • Rind is thick (very thick for mandarins), moderately adherent but peelable; surface moderately smooth to rough and warty.
  • Deep yellowish-orange to orange at maturity.
  • Large fruit size (among the largest of the mandarins).
  • Season of maturity November - February.

Clementine

  • An oblate, small citrus fruit. The exterior is a deep orange colour with a smooth, glossy appearance.
  • Clementines separate easily into eight to fourteen juicy segments.
  • Almost always seedless. Clementines are, thus, also known as seedless tangerines.
  • Season of maturity October - February.
