How much notice do I need to give when placing an order for sod? +
Sod orders should be placed several days in advance, to ensure that we have your sod in stock. Sod is usually available Monday afternoon until Friday afternoon. If you know you are going to need sod for a weekend project, please let us know in advance & we can make sure to have it here for you the Friday before. Pallets of sod (1 or more) are able to be delivered during the week. We are unable to make deliveries on the weekends, but you are able to pick up sod during our business hours on Saturday if necessary.
Water restrictions have been a big issue the past few years. I am afraid, if I put in new plants and trees they might die from a lack of water. What should I do? +
New plants, trees, lawn sod and grass are allowed all the water they need for 60 days following installation. You can get the latest information on water restrictions for southwest Florida by visiting sfwmd.com. You may also try to use drought tolerant plants and trees (natives). Lastly you may want to consult your landscaper about low volume irrigation which can be used “as needed” (year round) for all landscape plants. Take the time to educate yourself on the requirements of the plants you are interested in to make sure they will be able to receive the proper water, sunlight, space etc.
Do you offer a guarantee on your plants? +
We stand behind the quality of our plants, but there is no long-term guarantee on plants because we have no control over the planting, watering & care once the plant has left our nursery. We are always happy to help answer any questions or concerns you have & will make recommendations as needed.
If requested, How are my plants delivered? +
Plants are usually delivered inside an enclosed box truck for their protection from harsh rain, direct sun or the occasional cooler temperatures.
